Squircle Flicks

Lipstick

Promo video for rock band Bushbaby.

As co-director with Richard Moore, Edward worked closely with the band to create an overall look and feel to the video, which was shot predominantly at Bristol’s Fleece and Firkin. Edward also designed specific shots while Richard supervised effects and post production.

Over several years, Edward wrote press releases, provided still photography, directed rehearsals and worked as tour manager for the band.

The Industry Awards 2009

Product demonstration video for annual award ceremony.

Edward appeared on stage with Tom Sherman four years running to demonstrate every Silver Award winning product at the annual Industry Awards. In 2009 Faversham House decided to revamp the format completely and commissioned Edward to script the awards ceremony and to write and direct a humorous video demonstrating the products in a completely new way.

The resulting thirteen clips involved a couple fighting a competitive battle of ineptitude and frustration each other. Every product was demonstrated fully and humour was at the expense of the couple and never the brand or products.

The video has not been released at this stage

Modern English

Documentary about Mod life by Made By Wade.

Modern English is a glimpse into the Mod style and fashion from the 60s to the present punctuated by the music of Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene et al. With contributions from Paolo Hewitt, Damon Minchella and the Mods and police from 60s Brighton, director Dominic Wade presents a way of life that has influenced more than most people realise. In addition to providing sleeve notes, biographies and all publicity material, Edward provided second unit photography on Minolta Super8 and worked as assistant editor while Squircle provided the Sony HDR-FX1E HDV camera. This is just one of many collaborations in a 12-year partnership with Dominic.
